NEW FOR 2010
New Comfort Station Building and
Campsite Enhancements

Construction of a new
Comfort Station at the Warsaw Caves Conservation Area and Campground was
started in late October 2009 and is expected to be completed in time for
the opening of the park in mid-May 2010.
Planning for a new Comfort
Station to replace the existing washroom trailer was started three years
ago. The final design of the building is based on the plans of similar
washroom facilities found in Ontario Provincial Parks. These plans are
becoming a reality with the support of our municipal partners and with
funding made available through Federal and Provincial economic stimulus
programs.
The new facility will
include washrooms, showers, a laundry room, and a dish washing station.
It will use energy saving technologies and meet current standards for
accessibility.
The construction of a
septic tile bed for handling waste water required the removal of a
significant amount of earth and stone. This has provided us with the
material necessary to expand many of our campsites as well as to create
two additional campsites.
