Campground Regulations
|

|
Enjoy your visit and respect your fellow campers by following these rules.
|
|
|
All campsites must be vacated by 12 noon and shall be left in
good condition.
• No excessive noise is permitted at any time. Quiet time is
enforced as posted (midnight).
• No person shall operate any sound system after 10:00 p.m.
• No person shall use abusive or insulting language.
• No person shall consume alcoholic beverages except on their
assigned campsite and under a valid camping permit. The use of
alcohol anywhere else in the park is strictly prohibited. Any
improper use of alcohol is not permitted.
• The use of alcohol is not permitted in conjunction with a permit
issued for the
purpose of group camping.
• Pets mush be leashed, quiet, and under control at all times. Clean
up after your pet.
• Visitors are not permitted after 10:00 p.m.
• No more than five persons shall occupy a campsite unless it is a
single family unit of parents and their children or the campsite is
designated as a group campsite.
• This permit allows parking for one vehicle per campsite. Parking
for any additional vehicle requires an extra vehicle permit. No more
than two vehicles shall be parked on a campsite. Any additional
vehicles must have an extra vehicle permit and park in the
designated lot.
• All garbage and recyclable materials must be properly disposed of
at the
campground waste and recycling area.
• No person shall deface, remove, or damage any property.
• No person shall be in possession of or discharge any firearm or
fireworks.
• No person shall have a fire in a non-designated area or leave a
fire unattended.
• No person shall operate a vehicle in excess of the posted speed
limit (20km/hr).
• Vehicles shall only be operated on roadways.
• No person shall operate an all terrain vehicle in the conservation
area.
• The removal of living or dead trees, including foraging for dead
fall, is not permitted.
• Staff may evict and/or refuse to return camping or other fees to
any person(s) who do not comply with park regulations or whose
conduct is deemed to be in any way detrimental to the operation of
the conservation area.
The Otonabee Region Conservation Authority is not obligated to issue
a permit and reserves the right to refuse entrance to any person(s)
whose conduct staff deem is or may be detrimental to the operation
of the conservation area.
The YELLOW CIRCLE posted at each ordinary point of access to the premises shall
be sufficient for the purpose of giving notice that entry is prohibited except for the
purpose of certain activities and shall be deemed to be notice of the activities
permitted. The Trespass to Property Act, 2000, 7(2).
Staff members of the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority are appointed officers to
enforce the above regulations and the Authority's operating policies.
